5 Stars A Must Have Cook book
This book is what every kitchen needs. Recipes that are great for the munchers, without the guilt! I absolutely recommend it! Also try: ‘FINGER LICKING DIFFERENT’.

5 Stars If only!
The first night I tried a recipe from this book, I actually thought to myself, “If I had known about recipes like this before, I never would have gained so much weight.”

I have done the whole yo-yo dieting thing, I’m a fast food junkie at heart. I love jalapeno poppers, onion rings, anything I can get my hands on that’s fried and/or full of sodium and grease. Not because I want to eat that way, I know it isn’t healthy; but because it’s easy, cheap, and tastes good.

With this cookbook, I actually get to satisfy those gnarly cravings sometimes. Hello, onion rings! Jalapeno “swappers”. Pumpkin caramel cupcakes.

I’ve tried to do the “healthy” food - but it just leaves me feeling like I’m punishing myself! Or I’ll cook for a potluck and stare longingly at whatever concoction I’ve just made that I can have none of. But now, I get more satisfaction out of creating in the kitchen and being able to offer what I’ve gotten from HG as a low calorie alternative.

Yeah, yeah, I know it’s a lot of processed food. But that’s what I would normally eat anyway, and this means that at least I feel like I CAN lose weight and still enjoy eating food.

2 Stars not thrilled
I wish I would have read the reviews first. I heard about this book from an email, was shopping at Barnes and Noble one night and just decided to buy without looking through it. Many recipes call for tofu noodles-which I couldn’t even find anywhere. the pictures make the food look good, but after reading the recipes i’m not tempted to try many. I liked the chicken pot pie recipe-but that’s about it. don’t waste your money. I really wanted to love it-but couldnt.

4 Stars Creative and tasty
I am a gourmet cook that gained too much weight with the Barefoot Contessa. This cookbook has some good creative and tasty ideas. The cold peanut noodles made with tofu are a favorite - once I got past the fishy smell that goes away once the noodles are rinsed and dried. The meat loaf was also very tasty. My husband and daughter loved it too. While I was a bit turned off by her silly, childish style, I find the recipes to be low calorie, easy to make, and very flavorable. I like how she shows the nutritional composition with each recipe.

I also signed up on her web site to receive a daily informative food tip.

5 Stars Great Cookbook!
I have been receiving her newsletters for about 6 months and finally went out and bought the book. Some of her recipes taste just as good (if not better) than their higher calorie/higher fat counterparts. I can’t wait for 200 under 200 to come out!
